About Us

The Foundation for Pro Se Legal Education, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public-benefit organization serving California, Nevada and Washington State, dedicated to improving access to justice through education, not representation. We empower self-represented litigants in family and criminal law to write clear, judge-ready declarations, prepare accurate filings, and approach court with professionalism and confidence.

Our trauma-informed training model integrates legal literacy, emotional intelligence, and communication skills to help individuals turn conflict into clarity and confidence. We also support justice-impacted individuals reentering society and strengthen overburdened public institutions such as court self-help centers, law libraries, and school districts.

Through partnerships with attorneys, schools, and community organizations, the Foundation promotes responsibility, dignity, and procedural understanding—reducing confusion, improving efficiency, and expanding equitable access to justice for all.
